September 2009 Site Update
Hey I’ll be updating my site in the next week or so to feature a new theme and a new list of techniques and guides on the process of data conversion. Since my primary focus is on converting static websites to more robust and productive dynamic ones, I’ll be setting up a new section to show a few from my portfolio as examples.
Until then, thanks for stopping by.

Content Conversion
Making that static content dynamic without losing url indexing.
My primary field of expertise is to take static sites or existing dynamic sites and convert the content for use in either WordPress or Joomla while preserving the ULR, page title and other characteristics of the content. Since the overwhelming vast majority of older sites are still static, the migration to a more dynamic solution like WordPress, OpenRealty or even Joomla as a CMS is essential in staying competitive with today’s online market.
In nearly every single project I’ve ever worked on, the primary request I receive is to maintain the URL structure of the existing site in order to keep any existing page rank or linking in tact. Since many sites that are aged do have dozens or even hundreds of pages that are linked to, it would prove counter productive to replace all those resulting in countless 404’s and dead ends. I maintain your URL structure, I maintain your Page Rank and I maintain your content integrity while converting you from a static solution to a dynamic one.
My process includes the full backup of your existing solution, the setup of a temporary solution not accessible from the web and I go about individually changing, modifying and publishing all of your existing content into a dynamic database driven solution like WordPress. Part of the changing doesn’t really mean I change your wording or your content per se it means that I change the underlying code to be fully XHTML / CSS client in compliance with the sites style guidelines.
In the next few weeks I’m going to publish examples of these types of projects in my portfolio after I update my theme to the new layout. Please check back for more information regarding this.
